I was born on January 8, 1985, in San Benito, Texas, to Darell and Cristina. At a young age I was a very ambitious and resilient child which molded me into the person I am today. I have always been very goal oriented and accomplish everything I set my mind to.
I graduated from Texas State University with a degree in Accounting. During my college career I was vice president of the National Association of Black Accountants. I have been involved in giving back to my communities for years and have used the opportunity to stress the importance of educational empowerment. Community service is very rewarding. It has allowed me to share my gifts, talents and blessings with those that do not have the proper resources. Some community service I’ve done include: Race for the Cure, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis LS, Traumatic Brain Injury with Centre of Neuro Skill, Children’s Charity Beds for a better night’s sleep, Toy Drive, Junior Dance Clinics, Feast of Sharing.
I am currently working for D. Miller & Associates PLLC “Attorneys at Law” as an Accountant and Marketer. I have danced professionally for 8 years for the Houston Rockets, Austin Spurs, and backup dancing for multiple artist. These experiences have allowed me to embrace the ability of expression through dance. The feeling of performing is fulfilling and dear to my heart.
In addition to dance, I enjoy fitness, fashion design and most importantly spending time with friends and family. I am honored to have this opportunity to embrace my multicultural background. I look forward to the opportunity to continue to promote my platform and share this wonderful experience with my fellow Caribbean Queens.
